Maisie Wake

Equine Therapist

Welcome!

         About me...

I am an Equine Therapist in the East Devon area, covering the South West.

I have been involved with horses in some shape or form since getting hooked on riding lessons at around the age of seven. In my teens, I went on to take people on seasonal guided rides over the stunning countryside of Exmoor. I have also worked with stunt trained Spanish horses. More recently, I have gained hands on experience with Donkeys, Mules and Hinnies, through four years of working for The Donkey Sanctuary. During this time I had some fantastic training from the Equine Behaviourist, Ben Hart.

I thoroughly enjoy giving something back to these majestic creatures. To me there is no better way to do that than to give them relief through Equine Massage Therapy, and to help their humans to understand them better through combining equine massage treatments with personally tailored Behavioural work.

Besides equines, I am also passionate about caring for a whole range of different animals, and about providing advice on their husbandry and welfare. This knowledge comes backed up with a National Diploma in Animal Care, and extensive ongoing studies of various animal sciences. For more information on my other animal services, click here.

As I hope my business will grow, I would like to do more work for animal charities in my local area. Currently twice a week I am doing Massage Therapy and Behavioural Work for the Munchkins Miniature Shetland Rescue. If you are able to donate any money to them, please do! Please pay to 'friends and family' rather than to a business, or Paypal take a large cut.

It is a newly formed charity and could do with your help! Please Like and Share their Facebook page.
